Newly crowned innovation champion: PINK GmbH Thermosysteme from Wertheim-Bestenheid has been awarded the TOP 100 seal 2024. Only particularly innovative medium-sized companies are honored with this award.
Science journalist Ranga Yogeshwar will personally congratulate PINK on this success at the award ceremony on June 28 in Weimar.
On behalf of compamedia, the organizer of the competition, innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke from the Vienna University of Economics and Business and his team examined the innovative strength of all participants on the basis of more than 100 criteria from five categories: Innovation-promoting top management, innovation climate, innovative processes and organization, external orientation/open innovation and innovation success. “Are companies able to create new products, new services, new processes and new business models? And are these achievements just coincidences or the result of a structured and targeted approach? These are the questions we examine at TOP 100,” says Nikolaus Franke, explaining his approach to the review. It is also important how and whether innovations and product improvements have been able to establish themselves on the market.
PINK GmbH Thermosysteme came out on top in the scientific selection process and is one of the top innovators for the second time in a row. PINK has been building and supplying systems for the production of power modules for industrial, automotive and energy applications for over 30 years. Power modules are one of the main keys to achieving the world’s energy transition. PINK has numerous national and international patents to secure these technological innovations and their manufacture in Germany as a production location.
With the development of the modularity of PINK’s soldering and sintering systems, this technology is now also scalable for global market requirements. The systems have been optimized so that more and different customer components can be manufactured more flexibly in the same amount of time. The systems are also energy-efficient, require less space than the competition and consume less media.
“We are the global market leader for vacuum soldering systems and often lead the benchmark in competitive comparisons. We can only maintain this lead if we continue to work on the technologies of tomorrow with our innovative ideas,” says Managing Director Andrea Pink, describing her self-declared goal. According to Pink, one reason for taking part in the competition is that the TOP 100 Award not only rewards previous successes, but above all provides impetus for future top performance through the comprehensive innovation analysis including recommendations for action from the scientific management.
On June 28, all top innovators of the 2024 vintage will gather at the “congress centrum weimarhalle” for the award ceremony as part of the German SME Summit. Ranga Yogeshwar will be there to congratulate them personally on their success in the TOP 100.
