For the production of sensitive – and in some cases highly toxic – products, equipment and systems are required that can be used to dry gently under extremely clean and contamination-free conditions. The VSD vacuum drying ovens offer users precisely these advantages.
The VSD is therefore the ideal basis for a GMP/FDA-compliant process. Vacuum drying ovens are an indispensable component in pilot plants, kilo labs and production facilities.
Clever design for high customer benefit
The design principle of the VSD system, combined with the elaborate manufacturing process, ensures that the vacuum drying ovens have excellent properties: no corners, no edges – an interior as if made from a single piece. The heated shelves, ceiling and floor are double-walled and merge seamlessly into the chamber walls. Thanks to the system’s optimum heat conduction, the walls are also kept at a homogeneous temperature and therefore offer no condensation surfaces.
At the front, the vacuum drying ovens are equipped with a circumferential cover and mounting frame for wall installation, whereby the cover frame is welded tightly to the vacuum chamber. The pharma-grade door suspension is equipped with an eccentric hinge – for perfect positioning of the door seal without abrasion or crushing.

Reproducible cleaning results with CIP cleaning device
An automatic, reproducible cleaning process is necessary for the validation of cleaning procedures.
The CIP cleaning device (CIP = Cleaning In Place), which is perfectly matched to the VSD, supports the user in this process.
The device essentially consists of a cleaning lance with spray heads, which is driven either electrically or pneumatically. The drive moves the cleaning lance around its vertical axis. The spray heads also rotate around their horizontal axis.
